Purpose:
The principal purpose of the Teachers' Advisory Council is to involve educators in evaluating, piloting and developing educational programs produced by the Museum's Education staff.

Members of the Teachers' Advisory Council will:

  • Review and evaluate current Museum programs
  • Enrich the Bruce Museum's website to better serve teachers
  • Keep Museum staff up to date on classroom practice
  • Act as liaisons and ambassadors between the Museum and school systems, promoting and increasing awareness of educational materials and programs offered through the Museum
  • Aid in developing future programming at the Bruce
What is the time commitment?
  • The Council will meet four times a year
What do I get in return?
  • Complimentary copies of Bruce Museum publications/catalogues
  • Stipend for attending meetings after one year of service on the Council
